My husband and I just purchased a home in Hope, right near lake Kawkawa, and we would like to rent out our driveway to a tiny home owner. We are also open to hoping start a veggie garden in our front yard, so you will have plenty of space to garden.
Seeing as we are a 3 minute walk from the lake and nestled in the woods, we can offer other amenities as well. You can share our dock, kayaks and fire pit and you will have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains! Checkout the attached pictures of our property for a better idea.
I have been enamored with tiny homes for years but the dream of living tiny became more challenging to realize after starting a family. One of the largest obstacles I came across when seriously contemplating tiny home life was navigsting zoning laws and finding a parking spot. So, now that I have a wee bit of land, I want to give back to this rad community of creative thinkers by offering a parking spot.
That said, the bylaws in Hope do not permit the occupation of RVs or tiny homes. I am willing to offering a parking spot regardless, but I want to be upfront about this.
We will be able to offer water and electricity connections, but not sewer, so composting or incineration toilets would be preferred.
We are asking for $800/month for our parking spot, including utilities and use of all the aforementioned amenities and the spot will be available starting April 15th. Of course, we would like to connect first to ensure that we are a good fit as human beings!
