Wanted: community oriented spot to park my tiny house
/I'm looking for a community oriented spot to park my tiny house. I'm currently in a rural area near Langford, mostly acreages, and while it's very beautiful, it's a bit too isolated for me. I'd like to stay on the southern end of Vancouver Island, but I'm open to ideas. My house is a bit on the larger side, just under 40 ft. including the hitch. It looks like a small cabin with grey-stained board and batten siding and grey metal roof. I have a CSA approved wood stove installed by a WETT certified installer. I need 30 amp power, a good internet connection (or I can get Starlink or Telus Smart Hub) a fresh water connection, and a grey water outlet. I have a compost toilet and follow the Humanure Handbook to manage the waste; I could also bag it and remove it from the site. In addition, I don't have a typical shower setup or laundry machines so I use very little water compared to a typical setup. That said, access to laundry facilities would be very helpful, especially in the winter. I'd also need some space to set up a wood rack and park my car. I use propane only for my two burner cooktop. I'm a 55 year old single female, employed (I work from home), no kids or pets living with me. I don't drink or smoke or use perception or mood altering substances. I have an interest in permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and sustainable living. I've also lived in housing cooperatives and am familiar with the principles of cooperative living.
